Overview

This one-day workshop will introduce practical ways to make product design more efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective. It is tailored for industrialists and professionals from Lebanon’s agro-food sector who want to reduce waste, improve resource use, and identify new business opportunities through circular innovation.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Integrate circular principles into product development and operations;
  • Turn by-products into valuable resources;
  • Optimise material and energy flows;
  • Build collaborations across the value chain.

The training includes case studies, group exercises, and hands-on sessions led by Ziad Abi Chaker, environmental engineer and circular economy specialist, and Valerie Zakka, packaging and processing expert.
